FIRE BREATHING
Effect; The performer holds the lit torch vertically and propels a mass
of fire three to five feet beyond the torch. This effect is perhaps the
most spectacular in a fire eaters repertoire but is also the most dangerous.
1, Take a deep breath
2, Place approximately half a shot glass of fuel in your mouth.
3, Hold the lit torch about arms length in front of your face.
4, Exhale as if blowing a whistle spraying the fluid over the flame.
5, Close your mouth and step back immediately wiping your mouth with the
damp cloth.
Only perform this stunt if you can spray water in a very fine spray without
any large globs or drops of water. The consistency is similar to a forced
atomised mist as opposed to a spraying squirt. Furthermore, do not attempt
this stunt if you are drooling water after each try. A mistake in a performance
could mean fuel on your face and subsequently catching on fire. A mistake
could scar your face. Do not attempt this stunt unless you are completely
confident you can perform it properly.
THE HIROSHIMA, (or Mushroom), FLAME.
Effect; Breathing a flame approximately 10ft in the air, resembling a nuclear
mushroom cloud.
Please note: embeded here is a video gif. This may take a few minutes to download !!
1, Take a cigarette and lightly dip it halfway into paraffin,
2, Light the cigarette, take a deep breath, then take some paraffin in your
mouth.
3, Kneel down on one knee, tilting the head back pointing the cigarette
directly skywards.
4, Exhale as in normal fire-breathing also blowing the cigarette upwards.
5, Wipe face and mouth.
TIP: You will find that paraffin will fall onto your face. I recommend wearing
glasses to protect your eyes and wipe your face thoroughly before attempting
the next trick.
This trick is extremely difficult and very dangerous.
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS TRICK UNLESS YOU ARE A VERY CONFIDENT FIRE-BREATHER.
